United Airlines hat die erste Boeing 747-400 – sie ist mit 374 Sitzen das größte Fluggerät der United Continental Holdings, Inc. – in ihre neue Livery umlackiert. Nach der Fusion mit Continental Airlines erhielten bereits 309 Maschinen der Mainline- und Regionalflotte die neue Bemalung, das entspricht etwa 20 Prozent der Gesamtflotte. United Airlines und Continental Airlines bieten zusammen mit United Express und Continental Express sowie Continental Connection den Kunden von ihren Hubs Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Guam, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark Liberty, San Francisco, Tokyo und Washington rund 5.675 Flüge zu 372 Airports auf sechs Kontinenten an. United Airlines und Continetal Airlines sind Mitglied des Luftfahrtbündnisses Star Alliance, das täglich 21.000 Flüge zu 1.1160 Airports in 181 Ländern der Erde anbietet.
