Der Flughafen Dortmund hat im vergangenen Januar insgesamt 107.339 Passagiere gezählt. Das entspricht einem Wachstum bei den Reisendenzahlen von fast fünf Prozent – im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum. Damit kann der Flughafenbetreiber auch zu Jahresbeginn 2011 ein stabiles Wachstum vermelden. Im Januar 2010hatten insgesamt 102.484 Fluggäste die Kontrollen am Dortmund Airport passiert.Somit konnten im Januar 2011 insgesamt 4.855 Reisende mehr am Airport begrüßt werden, als im Vergleichsmonat vor einem Jahr. „Die erfreulicheEntwicklung in den letzten Monaten bei den Passagierzahlen setzt sich auch 2011 fort“, sagt Marc Schulte, Pressesprecher des Dortmund Airport.
Allein im Linienverkehr gab es einen Zuwachs von vier Prozent. Zudem hat easyJet angekündigt, ab 17. Februar drei Mal wöchentlich nach Zagreb zu fliegen. Die viertgrößte europäische Airline verbindet dann immer dienstags, donnerstags und samstags die kroatische Hauptstadt mit Dortmund. Ebenfalls positiv: Auch die ungarische Wizzair konnte auf den Relationen nach Osteuropa zulegen.
